What CryptoTaxPilot stores, why it is stored, and how it is protected.

What we collect
Account details you provide when you sign up, such as your name and email address.
The crypto transaction data you import, along with the transaction records you create or edit yourself, so the calculations and reports can be produced.
Subscription details for paid plans, including the customer and subscription identifiers issued by Stripe and the plan and billing interval on your account. Card and bank details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by CryptoTaxPilot.
What we never ask for
We do not ask for private wallet keys, seed phrases, exchange passwords, or any other credential that would let someone move your funds. The service works from an exported CSV file, so nothing can be traded or withdrawn on your behalf.
How your data is used
Your data is used to calculate gains and losses, to display your dashboard, transactions, portfolio and reports, and to manage your subscription.
We also record basic product analytics, such as which pages are visited and when a subscription is activated, to understand how the app is used and to improve it. We do not sell your personal data.
How your data is protected
Access is protected by authenticated accounts, and row-level security limits each record to the account that created it. Administrative access is restricted, and uploads are validated with size and format limits before they are saved.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Keep your login credentials private and contact us if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
Retention and your choices
Transaction records and reports stay in your account until you remove them or ask us to close the account.
You can delete individual transactions from your transactions list at any time. To request a copy of your data, or the deletion of your account and its records, contact us.
Third parties
Stripe processes payments for Pro subscriptions and receives the billing details needed to do so. Hosting and storage for the application are provided by our platform infrastructure provider.
